Good morning, peeps, on Fit as a Fiddle Friday.
It is the completion of week one’s release of every gPage Singletary thing at gpagesingletary.com.
What is every gPage Singletary thing?
It’s a place to repurpose over 1500 morning nuggets and some additional short and long-form writing on longevity, wellness, and business success. Toss in some balls bats and boondoggles – golf, tennis, fitness, and travel experiences from an American expat in London, and that’s all I’ve got – every single thing!
When we moved to London from Austin, TX, in the fall of 2021, one thing we left behind we knew we would miss was our gym, Train 4 The Game—founded by Todd Wright, who is now Vice President of Player Performance for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. Todd is at the top of the food chain in wellness and athletic training. Todd and his mentor, Gary Gray, known as the Father of Functional Movement, have always fascinated me. See the Gray Institute to learn more.
Never fear, though, because into our life came Will Taylor and his fantastic gym in Richmond named BARCH. BARCH is a Gaelic word that means ‘respect’, and in Will’s words, it comes from his days in professional Rugby and the value ingrained in him around turning up on time, putting weights away, and not being bigger than the coach. I love the tagline at BARCH (No Ego Training) and the culture Will has built. It is truly a special place!
No Ego Training – leave your ego at the door. We have created an environment where everyone is equal and treated equally as soon as you step through the doors. The LAST thing we want is an intimidating gym, and we are confident we are on the right path.
Stay fit,
gPage
