Let’s call it ‘weave and bev’ on WPW. It’s Woman Power Wednesday, folks, and I’m into my third cup of coffee and having trouble deciding which direction to go. I suppose that is the blessing and the curse of a daily blog with five different themes.
- Make it a Great Monday (attitude)
- Stay Whole Tuesday (wholeness)
- Woman Power Wednesday (self-belief)
- Make Anything Thursday (learn and grow)
- Fit as a Fiddle Friday (fitness and well-being)
Yesterday, I wrote about something personal, as I touched on hardship and shared some perspective from what I learned while studying IKIGAI: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life.
IKIGAI: About hardship on Stay Whole Tuesday
Things tend to ‘weave and bob’ all over the place—or maybe I should say ‘weave and Bev’ since it is WPW!
- This would maintain the rhythm and essence of the original phrase while using a female name.
- The idea remains the same: weaving side to side, with “Bev” representing the act of lowering or dodging.
- This playful adaptation highlights how language can evolve to be more inclusive without changing the core meaning of the term.
So there’s that for starters . . .
I also considered celebrating my friend and social entrepreneur, Dr. Elizabeth Hausler. I have featured Elizabeth on WPW several times in the past. See: Woman Power – Dr. Elizabeth Hausler.
This week, I saw that Build Change is celebrating 20 years of impact and more than $5 billion in protected economic assets. This translates to 1.3 million people being made safer by building new buildings or retrofitting more than 270,000 buildings! Beyond these numbers are the global impacts the Build Change team celebrates in this video: 20 Years of Systems Change, Gender Equity, Climate and Environmental Sustainability, and much more.
So there’s Elizabeth, whom I say congrats on 20 years of changing the world for the better . . .
Lastly, I thought I would celebrate the four extraordinary women in today’s featured image. Mum and the girls are sharing some good times in ‘Gay Paree’ this week. When they return to London, Sally, Emily, and Lucy will spend a day with Shereen Hoban, the talented creative and business coach I worked with to launch my website – ‘every gPage Singletary thing’ as a central collection point for my writing.
Our daughters have all pursued their creative passions—an interior designer, a fashion designer, and a graphic designer—so I thought time with Shereen would be a special gift. Shereen has put together a ‘visioning workshop’ where they will focus on aspirational goals and future-building the life they want to lead.

I’ve reserved a space in the beautiful and unique Artist Residence in Pimlico. Don’t ask me how I got my initials front and center above the mantel!

- Need a high end interior designer? – Sally Wilkinson Design
- Need help with fashion, technical design or supply chain in apparel? – Emily Singletary Cazzetta
- Need classic paper and graphics for a wedding? – Lucy Barfield Creative
All three are living from a place of creative impulses.
So there’s that . . .
Happy Woman Power Wednesday!
