As we continue to celebrate 14 years of inspirational (early) morning notes to each of you, there is some controversy amongst the editorial team. Some on the team (of one) think the first Woman Power Wednesday was your mum. However, the crackerjack research department has confirmed the first was award-winning sports columnist Christine Brennan, along with Belgium professional tennis star and three-time US Open Champion Kim Clijsters. That was September 8, 2010, and here’s a screenshot to prove it:

Those are two remarkable women. And your mum was not too far behind, as she first appeared on Nuggets from Dad on September 15, 2010, in this well-deserved post:

In August of 2020, your mum made another Woman Power Wednesday appearance, this time with a ditty I wrote. Check that out here: Who was the first Woman Power Wednesday?
Well, now that we’ve sorted that out, let me close with a reminder that I’m celebrating 14 years and 1500 nuggets by launching ‘every gPage Singletary thing’ @gpagesingletary.com – a place to house a collection of short-form and longer-form thinking and writing.
That’s all I’ve got.
P.S. Lucy, great job creating my icons! Now, if this digital immigrant can figure out how to use them on Instagram. What’s a post? What’s a story? Ummmm (-;
